A custom designed handcrafted 6-string electric guitar with a book-matched Blue/Purple (Blurple?) flame maple top and a sapele mahogany back. The solid wood body includes custom carves for finger access and comfortable playing. We’ve also included custom handcrafted matching pickup rings and bubinga truss rod adjustment cover. Includes custom control knobs that match the body details.
The maple neck with black limba and babinga details has a Bolivian Rosewood fretboard, med/large stainless steel frets, aluminum inlays, dual action truss rod, Hipshot grip-lock tuners, and a 12 degree angled headstock.
We wanted to create a comfortable and playable electric guitar. So, we built the Severin Rogue neck based on the 62 Strat C shape neck profile coupled with a contoured carve around the neck ferrules. To enhance playability and tuning stability we include a Hipshot Fixed Bridge, Hipshot Grip-Lock tuning machines, and Graph Tech TUSQ XL.
A new feature with our Severin Rogue guitar is our satin necks. Each neck is finished in a Satin Hard Wax Oil for playability. No more high gloss sticky necks.
As to the electronics, we wanted to create an instrument that would excel in rock and metal. That is why we selected a set of Seymour Duncan Invader™ in black. Through demoing, these are now a favorite pickup of mine and my next guitar will have a set. From the Seymour Duncan website: “The Invader delivers the thickest, deepest low-end response of any passive pickup we make. Chords sound almost subsonic with lower tunings, but balance nicely with the crunchy treble, keeping everything well defined. While the Invader bridge looks mean and vicious, because it is mean and vicious, the Invader neck humbucker is surprisingly warm and smooth, despite its intimidating looks, and yields a thick crunch and moaning sustain.”
We’ve matched the pickups with one volume and one tone CTS potentiometers and a 5 position super switch. See the pickup configuration below.
Additionally, we’ve shielded the electronics from interference by coating the control cavities with protective shielding material.
The Rogue has also been upgraded by adding magnets to the control cavity and truss rod cover. The control cover has a finger access and the secret to the truss rod cover is to press down on the pointy end. It will pop right up.
To finish things off, we have included Grover Quick Release Strap Locks and a gig bag to protect your new instrument.
